The Telecon was opened by Hans-Peter Plag. The draft agenda was accepted without changes. The minutes of ID03-T1 were accepted without changes.

2 ID-03 Task Sheet and Commitments

The task sheet for ID-03, which is available at http://www.earthobservations.org/geoss_imp.php , was briefly discussed. Hans-Peter Plag explained that all activities are listed under the "Science and Technology" heading, while under other headings, relevant activities are indicated and referred to the listing under the "Science and Technology" heading. Outputs are only listed under the "Science and Technology" heading. He also indicated that the text under "Expected Achievements by 2015" was incomplete. The review revealed that Activity 1.2 was missing.

Action Item ID03-T2-1: Hans-Peter Plag will update the Task Sheet, add Activity 1.2, and complete the "Expected Achievements" text. Responsible: Hans-Peter Plag, Deadline: 2012-03-19.

Hans-Peter Plag also mentioned that there was an extended version of the Task Sheet available at http://www.geo-tasks.org/id03 .

Concerning the request for commitments of Task Team members to specific activities either as lead or contributor, Hans-Peter Plag reported that very few members had sent in their commitments. Christoph Waldmann committed to lead activity 1.1.

Action Item ID03-T2-2: All Task Team members, who have not submitted a commitment matrix, will send this matrix with their commitment to Hans-Peter Plag. Responsible: All, Deadline: 2012-03-22.

3 Relation between ID-03 and the Institution and Development Implementation Board

Hans-Peter Plag reported briefly from the ID Board, which had several telecons. Main focus was on defining the tasks and procedures of the Board, and to clarify the roles of the Boards versus the GEO Secretariat. A document clarifying the point of view of the Boards has been prepared and submitted for consideration during the 24-th ExCOM meeting. The linkage between Boards and Tasks will also be clarified.

Christoph Waldmann asked about information exchange between the Boards. Hans-Peter Plag explained that there were several Board members who were on two Boards, thus facilitating cross-board information links. Hans-Peter Plag mentioned that he was on both the ID Board and the SB Board.

There was agreement that the ID-03 telecons should have a regular reporting point on the ID Board meetings where relevant information would be provided.

4 ID-03 Meeting at EGU

Hans-Peter Plag briefly introduced the draft agenda for the face2face Task Team meeting at the EGU, which is available at http://www.geo-tasks.org/id03/meetings/_top . There were no immediate comments on the agenda.

Action Item ID03-T2-3: All Task Team members will review the draft agenda for the ID-03 Task Team Meeting, and send comments to Hans-Peter Plag, if there ar Responsible: All, Deadline: 2012-03-22.

5 ID-03 input for the Work Plan Symposium

Hans-Peter Plag explained that the draft agenda for the Work Plan Symposium includes 30 minutes per task for reports and discussion. Since ID-03 only has one component, this will give sufficient time to present ID-03. He asked all Task Team members to provide points they would like to have addressed in the report. It was asked whether there is a template for the task presentations. No such template is available currently, but the Boards are considering the prepare a template to be used.

Action Item ID03-T2-4: All Task Team members will consider the Task report for the Work Plan Symposium and send comments or suggestions to Hans-Peter Plag. Responsible: All, Deadline: 2012-03-22.
