GEO Task ID-03: Science and Technology in GEOSS

Science and Technology — Status of Activities - Activity 1.4

Support state-of-the-art technology in the GEOSS Common Infrastructure (GCI) and observation infrastructures.

State of Work

The European Project GEOWOW has signalled interest in contributing to this activity.

Road Map Annex: Activity 1d

The technology used for building the GCI must be assessed and upgraded regularly to remain attractive and accepted by the user communities. Also, the observation infrastructures — the systems of GEOSS — must continue to be improved and developed through incorporation of science and technology outcomes that improve observing systems and observational capacity.
